About me
My name is Tina Mona Cohen, I am a self-taught artist originally from France, currently based in Germany.
If you're new to my work, allow me to introduce myself and share why painting is such a fundamental part of who I am.
For me, the canvas is more than just a surface—it's a gateway to self-expression and exploration.
From a young age, I've been drawn to the world of art. Painting, for me, is a passion that fuels my creativity and allows me to convey emotions and ideas in a way that words often cannot.

As a child, I was naturally drawn to creativity, spending countless hours painting, drawing, and experimenting with colors. My parents always recognized the artist within me from the very beginning. However, as life unfolded, I drifted away from this innate aspect of my personality. Opting for university, I embarked on a path far removed from the artistic realm, diving into the world of management and finance. Yet, despite my academic pursuits, I never truly felt at home in this sphere. My heart was always drawn to the vibrant and imaginative world of art. In pursuit of my passion for art, I pursued a master's degree specializing in the management of artistic projects. This led me to a fulfilling role as a project manager for a cultural festival in Paris. I was captivated by the creative energy and vibrancy of the environment. However, my enthusiasm was met with a significant setback when I experienced a severe burnout that forced me to reevaluate my career trajectory.
Following a period of deep depression and post-traumatic stress, I embarked on a transformative journey. Relocating from Paris to Berlin, I immersed myself in learning German and embarked on a journey of self-discovery. A pivotal moment occurred during an art night event where I rediscovered the joy of painting. This reawakened my dormant artistic side, pushing me to begin painting at home, initially with portraits and later transitioning to abstract art inspired by other artists on platforms like Pinterest.

Painting became a therapeutic practice akin to meditation. Recognizing the profound joy painting brought me, I made the resolute decision to make it my life's work and to become a full time artist. Despite working full-time in Germany, I dedicated my nights and free time to paint. My goal was to develop an authentic style and gain the confidence to share my creations with the world. The birth of my daughter in 2021 fueled my determination to be a role model, showing her the importance of pursuing her´s dreams.
In 2022, I held my first exhibition as a full-time artist in Paris, which received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Getting so positive feedback motivated me to continue.

I opened my own art gallery in the heart of Paris in 2023 in the prestigious adress, just next to the arc de triomphe and the Champs Elysée.
In 2024, I expanded my offerings to include high-quality art prints and canvas prints alongside my original artwork, ensuring each piece meets my stringent quality standards.
Additionally, I now offer abstract painting workshops to help others to express themselves through art. Combining art therapy techniques, painting exercises, and creative expression, these workshops encourage participants to explore the depths of abstract art and unleash their unique artistic voices.
Why do I paint abstract?
What I love most about abstract painting is the freedom it affords me. With each brushstroke, I am able to tap into my intuition and let my imagination run wild. There are no boundaries or rules to confine me; instead, I am free to experiment with color, texture, and form until I bring my vision to life on the canvas. When I immerse myself in painting, I enter a meditative state, focusing solely on colors and allowing my intuition to guide me, rather than adhering to predefined patterns.
But painting is more than just a creative outlet for me—it's a form of therapy. It allows me to delve deep into my thoughts and emotions, confronting them head-on and transforming them into something beautiful. Each piece I create is a reflection of my innermost thoughts and feelings, a visual representation of my journey through life.
Ultimately, painting is my way of connecting with the world and leaving a piece of myself behind for others to discover. It's a privilege to share my passion with others, and I hope that my art brings joy and inspiration to all who encounter it.
