Who define what is art ?

Art is a diverse range of human activities and creations that express imaginative or technical skill and are intended to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. It encompasses a wide array of forms, including visual arts (such as painting, sculpture, drawing, and photography), performing arts (such as dance, theater, music, and opera), literature, architecture, film, and more.

While the definition of art can vary depending on cultural, historical, and individual perspectives, it often involves the expression of creativity, emotion, and meaning. Art can serve many purposes, including communication, storytelling, social commentary, self-expression, and the exploration of aesthetic or philosophical concepts.

Artists use various techniques, materials, and mediums to create their work, and their creations can evoke a wide range of responses and interpretations from viewers or audiences. Art has been an integral part of human culture throughout history, reflecting and influencing society, politics, religion, and individual experiences.

The definition of art is a subject of ongoing debate and discussion among artists, scholars, philosophers, and the general public. There isn't a single authority or entity that definitively defines what art is. Instead, various individuals and groups offer their perspectives and interpretations based on their experiences, cultural backgrounds, and beliefs.

Art can be interpreted and defined differently by different people, and its meaning may evolve over time as societies and cultures change. Some definitions of art focus on creativity, expression, and aesthetic value, while others emphasize social or political commentary, craftsmanship, or emotional resonance.

Ultimately, what is considered art often depends on individual interpretation and cultural context.

Meet the artist behind

All artworks you see on this
webshop are made by Tina Mona Cohen. Tina Mona Cohen is a self-taught artist whose passion for painting began at a young age.

After pursuing a professional career in various fields, she rediscovered her love for art as a therapeutic practice to navigate through a burnout. Painting became her refuge, a means to articulate her deepest emotions. Tina Mona's journey as an artist started in her small apartment and quickly grew as people showed interest in her work.

Today, she enjoys both customer visits and peaceful painting sessions in her atelier. When not creating art, Tina Mona works with other artists on creative projects and host abstract painting workshops to help others to express themselves through art.
