I don´t like the result of my painting, what should I do?

If you don't like the result of your painting, don't panic. In abstract art, there's always a way forward. One of the magical tools at your disposal is white paint. It's like a reset button—if you're not happy with it, you can simply paint over it with white and create a new layer effect.

It's completely normal to sometimes feel dissatisfied with what you've created. Not every piece will be a masterpiece. It's all part of the learning and experiencing process. However, that doesn't mean you should accept a negative experience. You have the power to modify and improve your painting until you're satisfied with the result.

Personally, there have been times when I've worked on a painting and redone it ten times because I wasn't happy with the result. But I persist until I'm happy with what I'm creating. And you know what? I often learn the most during these challenging processes. It's often these pieces that become the most valuable to me in the end.

It's incredibly important not to force the creative process. If you find yourself stuck or not making progress, take a break. Let the painting dry and place it somewhere visible. Simply glance at it from time to time, and you'll find that ideas begin to emerge naturally. Only when you feel the urge to continue, when you're truly ready and inspired, should you pick up your brush again. Then, focus on improving the piece, but never try to force it. It's okay to take breaks, and it's okay not to be productive every single moment you're painting.

Sometimes, the mistakes we make can actually lead us in new and unexpected directions. In fact, they might not even be mistakes at all, but rather, signals from the universe guiding us along our creative journey. It's essential to learn to go with the flow, to trust in what the universe is presenting to us.

For example, a day when I was painting on a canvas that was already framed. In a moment of mishap, I accidentally dropped a drop of paint onto the frame. Initially, I was horrified by this error. However, upon closer examination, I realized that it added an intriguing dimension to the piece. I saw potential in the unexpected, and I decided to embrace it.

I began painting on the frame itself, adding touches of gold to integrate it seamlessly into the artwork. What started as a mistake turned into a defining feature of the piece. Now, I absolutely adore the result—it's original, it's different, and it's a testament to the beauty of going with the flow.

This experience taught me the importance of embracing the unexpected and seeing mistakes as opportunities for creativity to flourish. It's a reminder to trust in the process and to allow the universe to guide us toward new and exciting possibilities.
